Spring is sprung and the grass is green, the roses have begun to bud, and the trees are recovering from the very cold winter.
I haven't used this site much as I really loathed the inflexibility of the layout, but I've discovered that some changes have happened, and I was able to personalize my layout a bit. I'm much happier with it, and I've decided to occasionally leave a comment here.
I'm not sure that Vox will ever quite take the place of Live Journal, because I'm not a fan of the My Space style, but still, this seems to be a middle of the road version at the moment.
I wish you all well.
I love Autumn. I love the smell of lush ripeness as the earth's bounty is harvested and the earth begins to shed its clothes for the naked joys of winter. I love the crisp, cool air as I long for rambling walks in the neighborhood, the park, along the shore. In many ways, this is my favorite season of the year.
I trust you're all well.
Otherwise, I"m attempting to get used to this site. It's not easy for me. I'm so visually oriented I keep hoping Vox will update their layouts to something I can actually like. This is supposed to be a more 'adult' site, but the layouts aren't particularly sophisticated. In fact, if I were to label them it would be 'cutesy.' I don't think of cutesy as anything but juvenile or sophomoric.
Perhaps this is a little harsh... but there you have it. I'm an illustration/graphic snob! ::glances through my extensive image collection::
Yep... an icon snob.
I must be a bit of a control freak because I want to adjust the color, ever so slightly... because this is a little bland, but there's nothing else I like better.

Okay, so one thing I don't like about Vox so far is that I can't use different icons for my posts. I'm such an icon fiend... and I use them to enhance my point or express my moods. A serious drawback as far as I'm concerned!
Since this is supposed to be the adult version of live journal (but looks an awful lot like my children's My Space,) I thought a pretentious subject line was appropriate!
I got the invitation to join this morning. Then when I saw Bunney, Moreteadk, and Britt already on... I followed lemming-like into the fray.
I really hope for more customizable layouts in the future... but I can appreciate a beta-version in the making!

::nods:: Capslocky it is! It will most likely be the deciding factor as to whether I ever really use this. read more
